Indy Jazz Fest is “Looking Back, Looking Forward” September 18-30 with lineup including Boney James, Sheila E., Stanley Clarke, Pat Metheny and more.

The premier event of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation, Indy Jazz Fest celebrates 25 years in 2023 with a “Looking Back, Looking Forward” theme and a focus on celebrating modern masters and new jazz stars September 18-30. Headliners include GRAMMY Award winners Boney James, Sheila E., Stanley Clarke, Kurt Elling, Pat Metheny and many more at a variety of Indianapolis venues, and a grand finale in downtown Indianapolis at TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park.

“The ability to offer a wide range of jazz styles during Indy Jazz Fest meets the core mission of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation in attracting new audiences to the jazz idiom,” says Indy Jazz Fest Director, David Allee. “This year’s festival blends the best of outdoor and indoor venues and we’re excited to host our grand finale at the TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park. From a fan perspective, it’s a perfect venue for our finale outdoor event. Permanent seats that are covered, bathrooms, accessible parking and a state-of-the-art sound experience are major upgrades for this year’s fest.”
