Forty of today's finest young violinists from 12 countries vie for over $250,000 in prizes, international concert engagements, the four-year loan fo the 1683 ex-Gingold Stradivarius, a Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium debut and four years of career and concert management. Scintillating performances take center stage at Indianapolis' finest concert venues over four round of Competition. Finally six Laureates are chosen by a distinguished jury of concert violinists including IVCI Jury President Jaime Laredo, Miriam Fried, Dong-Suk Kang, Boris Kuschnir, Cho-Liang Lin, Philip Setzer, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Kyoko Takezawa and Ellen Taaffe Zwilich. The BSA LifeStructures Finals featuring the final six violinsts performing one of the great Romantic or post-Romantic concertos with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Guest Conductor Joel Smirnoff.
