Join us at the Indianapolis Art Center for the first of three shows in our 3rd annual summer concert series Jazz at the Center! On Thursday, June 15 at 7:00PM we welcome local legend Jennie DeVoe to the terrace along with her band to kick-off this round of shows.

Jennie is a fiercely independent singer/songwriter with a unique personal style of Americana-Soul-Roots and Blues music that has earned her loyal fans of all ages and from all musical genres. Purist fans loyal to folk, blues, jazz and soul music all find something to love in Jennie’s music which is not an easy feat. She’s shared stages with John Hiatt, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Joe Cocker, Edwin McCain, Gregg Allman, and played mega-side stages for the biggest stars including Sting, Lyle Lovett, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Fiona Apple, and more.

IJF Artistic & Education Director Rob Dixon says that Jennie was the obvious choice to kick-off our summer concert series.

“Jennie is one of the most known musicians in Indiana. She has created a legacy for herself in Indiana music history and the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation is proud to showcase not only her talent, but that of her band as well.”

Tickets are $25 in advance and are also available in a full series package (entrance to all three shows) for $20 (all three shows for $60). Children 12 and under are free.

In the event of inclement weather on the day of the show, we will alert you of the cancellation. The “rain date” for this show is Wednesday, June 21.
