The Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the death of Georg Philipp Telemann in concert with artistic director and Baroque flute soloist, Barthold Kuijken.
The IBO commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the death of Georg Philipp Telemann, who has for years been a favorite of both the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and its audience. He may be historys most prolific composer ever. A contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach, Telemann (1681-1767) eclipsed Bach in popularity during the 18th century but then suffered neglect until the early music revival of the later 20th century.
