Moors and McCumber at Indy Folk Series

When they met by chance ten years ago, James Moors and Kort McCumber felt like the universe was throwing them together for a reason. Like Simon & Garfunkel or Crosby, Stills and Nash, they deliver haunting songs about love and life with dazzling instrumentals and transcendent harmonies.

Their fifth CD, Live at the Blue Rock, captures the magic of their live shows. As Grammy award-winning producer Lloyd Maines says, “These guys should be playing every major festival in the country. They bring it all to the stage and deliver in a big way.”

The Indy Folk Series is an all-ages listening room venue featuring superb acoustics, art on the walls, and candles on the tables. Each season brings the best of local, regional, and national touring artists and a wide array of acoustic music genres, including Americana, Roots, Bluegrass, Singer-Songwriters, and more. Concerts are held once a month on Saturday evenings, September – May. Light refreshments, including wine and beer, available prior to the concert and during intermission.
