Music at Butler: Butler Opera Theatre

Join the cast of Butler Opera Theatre as we present a fun evening beginning with opera scenes in English, including an excerpt from Jonathan Dove’s Flight (1998), an excerpt from Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah (1955), an excerpt from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story (1957), and more. These scenes will be followed by a production of Michael Ching’s Speed Dating Tonight! (2013), an interactive opera that combines American Music Theater, cabaret, traditional opera, American songbook, and even folk song traditions.
