Patricia Mae Peat Dusendschon was an art historian, art instructor, and “an extraordinarily gifted artist.” She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 30, 1938 to Wilbur Peat and Tilitha Rasmussen Peat. Her father was the director of the Akron Art Institute and later John Herron Art Institute.
