Through contemporary African American art, ‘Past is Present’ explores the legacy of slavery in Indiana and beyond.
The exhibition includes contributions from Indianapolis-based and nationally renowned artists, displayed in dialogue alongside historical objects and documents. Paintings, sculpture, prints, digital projections, textile art, and several mixed media works will be displayed.
