The mainstage season closes with a multidisciplinary devised piece created especially for the 2016 Butler ArtsFest. Jordan College of the Arts visiting guest artist Darla Villani will create this work in collaboration with a team of talented JCA students from across disciplines. Conceived and directed by Villani and created with the company, this exciting new work takes its point of departure from the theme of ArtsFest 2016: Time(less).

“Portal 1812 will be created collectively with thematics curated from sources as disparate as the first two minutes of the 1812 Overture, fly casting, and the paintings of Giorgio Morandi,” Villani said.
