Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House

The 23rd Annual Stutz Artists Open House will be held Friday, April 29, 5:30 – 10:30 PM and Saturday, April 30, 2:00 – 7:00 PM at the Stutz Business Center

More than 65 artists will open their studios to visitors during the 2016 two-day event. It is not only an opportunity to see the work of local artists in one place at one time, it is a chance to see where and how the work is created. Artwork ranges from paintings, drawings and photography, to sculpture, jewelry and furniture.

In addition to being a great place to buy one-of-a-kind gifts with artwork prices from $12 to $10,000, the event offers a rare chance to see vintage cars in the historic Stutz car factory. Visitors will also enjoy live music, food and beverages, and the opportunity to try painting with Wine & Canvas (free). On Friday, visit the @YelpIndy #YelpSwagTruck at the 11th St. entrance and check into the event  for a fun photo booth capture.

On Saturday, artists will demonstrate their art every half hour throughout the day and kids can participate in the Art Scavenger Hunt aan be registerd to win gift cards from Prizm Art Supply store. Special guest on Saturday is Sarah Urist Green, creator and curator of the PBS series The Art Assignment, and former curator of comtemporary art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Sarah will talk about “How to Read Art” at 4:00 pm in the Car Room.

Proceeds from the Open House fund the Stutz Residency Program which provides studio space for two emerging artists for a year.
