Rick Larimore: The Beauty of Wood

Rick Larimore will be the Featured Artist for the month of October. His featured show, “Rick Larimore: The Beauty of Wood” will premiere in the Feature Room during the IDADA First Friday Art Tour, October 3rd, 6-9pm. Admission is free.

When asked why patrons should come see this show, Larimore replied, "Because, because, because…because of the beautiful things he does?" Larimore sculpts while trying to cooperate with the wood, to show its beauty, while incorporating an additional statement of shape movement and texture. Each piece has a natural origin or basis–sometimes the obvious, and sometimes harder to find, but it's easy to get lost in each piece, just as one would get happily lost in the woods on a gorgeous day.
