Searching for Freedom: a Wrongful Conviction Awareness Month Art Exhibit featuring Carolyn Harper

October is Wrongful Conviction Awareness Month and BRIDGE Collective is proud to present:  Searching for Freedom:  Faces of Love, Loss, Mass Incarceration and Wrongful Conviction featuring Philadelphia-based artist Carolyn Harper.  Carolyn’s work depicts the portraits and narratives of individuals who have been incarcerated, some wrongfully convicted.

We invite you all to attend and learn more about mass incarceration and wrongful conviction; one of the greatest civil rights issue of our time.

Join us to meet Kristine Bunch and hear her story as an individual wrongfully convicted and incarcerated for 17 years. Special guests Kelly Bauder and Jessica Cicchini of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office Conviction Integrity Unit.

October 7th Screening of The Pendleton Two: They Stood Up at 1:30pm, doors at 1 pm
The film documents the struggle to free political prisoners John “Balagoon” Cole and Christopher “Naeem” Trotter, who have been unjustly incarcerated since 1985 for resisting white supremacist violence. Produced in partnership between IDOC Watch and the P2 Defense Committee, this documentary is a must-see for anyone unaware of the history and culture of the Indiana Department of Corrections and how this relates to the for-profit-prison system in America today.  The screening is free, please RSVP.
