SIMCHA at The Academy of GHDT

In their 20th Anniversary Season, GHDT continues the celebration with a classic from the treasured archives. A popular repertoire piece choreographed by Artistic Director Gregory Hancock, SIMCHA /simCHə/ will offer a mix of Yiddish and Klezmer music with vignettes showcasing dance and costume of Jewish culture and heritage. This production will take audiences on a diverse journey through the richness of Jewish culture.

SIMCHA is derived from the Hebrew word meaning gladness or joy. Lighthearted, touching and poignant, SIMCHA will be performed in a cabaret-style setting where audiences experience an up-close and personal concert.
