Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel was one of the most remarkable and inspiring figures of the 20th century. Born in Warsaw, Poland as part of a centuries-old rabbinic dynasty within the Hasidic tradition, he narrowly escaped the Holocaust and arrived in New York in 1940.
