The Carpenters Project: An Offering

Local musician and personality Brent Marty is returning to The Cabaret’s stage with his dear friend, New York-based vocalist Amy Rafa, for a journey through the timeless catalog of 70s super-duo, the Carpenters. The evening will feature many of the Carpenters’ biggest hits (Rainy Days & Mondays, We’ve Only Just Begun, Goodbye to Love) along with some hidden gems. Bringing these classic tunes to life in a live setting with a combo of local musicians and backup vocalists, Brent and Amy will share personal stories of how the group’s music affected them and how it still means so much to them – and millions of fans around the world – today.

As proud graduates of the Department of Theatre & Dance at Ball State University, Amy Rafa and Brent Marty were dedicated to collaborating with former and current students and faculty as they developed this show – thus continuing the wonderful partnership between The Cabaret and Ball State while simultaneously paying homage to one of the most iconic duos in music.
