The Forsyth family was a magnet for artistic talent. William Forsyth (1854- 1935), was a respected painter, art teacher and mentor to generations of artists. His wife Alice Atkinson Forsyth was an artist in her own right. Their daughter Constance followed in her father’s footsteps teaching as Professor Emeritus of Art from the U of Texas Austin.
