'The Nutcracker' - presented by Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy

Experience the magic of The Nutcracker – the beloved story of a charming young girl and her nutcracker doll that comes to life!

Join Clara and her Nutcracker Prince on an enchanted Christmas Eve journey – from a joyous holiday party at The Stahlbaum’s, into an epic midnight battle between mice and toy soldiers, through the dazzling Kingdom of Snow, and into the delightful Land of Sweets. Along the way you’ll meet all of the ballet’s wonderful characters including Godfather Drosselmeyer, the evil Mouse Queen, the Snow Queen, Mother Ginger and her lively Gingersnaps, and of course the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier!

With stunning costumes, Tchaikovsky’s timeless music, and breathtaking choreography danced to perfection by BTCA’s pre-professional company and special guest artists, this is a Nutcracker experience you won’t soon forget!

The fun doesn’t stop at the theatre doors! Stop in the beautifully decorated lobby for activities sure to keep everyone in the spirit of the season. Pick out a delicious treat at the Land of Sweets Bake Sale and enter to win a fabulous themed basket in the Nutcracker Raffle. Finish your Christmas shopping in the Sugar Plum Boutique filled with Nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes, custom-decorated pointe shoes, ballerina ornaments, books, jewelry and more. Don’t forget to take a few selfies during intermission, and have your photo taken with your favorite dancers at the Cast Meet & Greet!
