Tuguldur Yondonjamts–Separated Geography from a Poem

“Separated Geography from a Poem” is the second exhibition in a new biennial international exhibition and artist-in-residence series.

Inspired by the Mongolian historical epic Khan Kharangui (King Darkness), Tuguldur Yondonjamts explores boundless travel, imaginations of space and distance, and various types of communication through interdisciplinary research of archeology, material studies, and art.

Separated Geography from a Poem will be on display in the Berkshire, Reese, and Paul Galleries from Sept. 17 to Dec. 8, 2021.

Public lecture: Tuguldur will give a public lecture in Eskenazi Hall on Friday, Sept. 17, at 5:30 p.m., followed by an opening reception until 8 p.m. The talk will be given both in person and online. Guests can pre-register to attend Tuguldur’s talk virtually via Zoom at go.iu.edu/41fJ or watch the livestream beginning at 5:30 p.m. at facebook.com/HerronGalleries.
