Tuguldur Yondonjamts Talk & Opening Reception
Attend a public lecture with Tuguldur Yondonjamts, a Mongolian contemporary artist, to learn more about his work, which will be on display in the Herron Galleries from Sept. 17 to Dec. 8, 2021.
Discover the themes in Tuguldur’s work, as well as the scientific and mystical roots of his investigative practice, which includes research in archeology, language, mythology and culture, among other disciplines. A reception will follow the talk for all three exhibitions.

Separated Geography from a Poem, on view through Dec. 8 in the Berkshire, Reese and Paul Galleries, is the second exhibition in a new biennial international exhibition and artist-in-residence series. Inspired by the Mongolian historical epic Khan Kharangui (King Darkness), Tuguldur Yondonjamts investigates boundless travel, imaginations of space and distance, and various forms of communication through interdisciplinary research in archeology, material studies, and art.
The exhibition series is organized by Uranchimeg Tsultem, Edgar and Dorothy Fehnel Chair in International Studies, and is made possible through the generous support of Ed Fehnel.
