Virtual Worlds for Video

The Virtual Worlds for Video course takes a punk rock approach to learning Cinematic VR. You will learn a couple chords, and then be guided on an introductory d-i-y path to environment creation in the Unity 3D game engine, where you will learn to capture .mp4 footage for your film creations. This course is for the motivated novice and requires no prior experience in coding or gaming. It is designed for artists, filmmakers, or anyone with interest in creating a 2D or 360 VR video from an invented reality.

An on-line version of this course will be available in late spring/early summer 2019 and will include 18 video tutorial lessons for completely self-directed learning.

This VW4V workshop is offered in the Indianapolis area and provides guided classroom instruction for the VW4V video course. Workshops are intensive 4-week sessions that combine a weekly 2-hour in-person class with self-directed practice. Workshop participants will have early access to the video tutorial lessons. Classes currently are held at the Olgaforce3D studio at CCIC, 1125 Brookside Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. The space is small and class size is limited to 3 students, so this will be a quasi-private lesson.
