Vita Ricordata: Herron Ceramics Senior Thesis Exhibition

This group thesis exhibition includes the ceramics, sculptures, and paintings of seven senior ceramics and integrative studio practice majors at Herron School of Art + Design: Mackenzie Aké, Deníse Hernández, Nico DeLuca, Jacy Inskeep, Julia Riley, Deborah Thomes, and Sydney Welch. Their work encompasses a range of styles and processes, from wheel-thrown functional pottery to ceramic sculpture to mixed media installation. The title of the exhibition, Vita Ricordata, is Latin for “Life Remembered,” and speaks to themes found in the work, such as family history, nostalgia, trauma, and emotional growth as a jumping off point for self-discovery.
