‘Wah Wah & Whatnot’ is a a creative fusion of jazz + spoken word poetry. This event features saxophonist Rob Dixon and marks the Jazz Kitchen Debut of poet & spoken word artist, Lasana D. Kazembe.
Blending live instrumentation & spoken word poetry, Wah Wah & Whatnot explores the contours and creative boundaries of jazz improvisation and poetry. The Cabaret’s inaugural Artist-in-Residence, Lasana D. Kazembe is joined by Indy’s jazz guru, Rob Dixon, bassist Jonathan Wood, & drummer/percussionist Kenny Phelps.
