WHEN WE DANCE: The Life-Changing Work of Kids Dance Outreach

Heartland Film is excited to partner with Kids Dance Outreach for the in-person premiere of the documentary When We Dance: The Life-Changing Work of Kids Dance Outreach.

More than two years in the making, the documentary film When We Dance shows us how it all works—following KDO’s Team of Teaching Artists and professional Musicians as they inspire excellence and exude motivational magic on children in classrooms, playgrounds, school gyms—anywhere a group of children can get together.

The mission of Kids Dance Outreach is to positively impact the lives of all children through joyful dance programs that inspire excellence, instill confidence, encourage teamwork, and applaud persistence. To date, more than 20,000 children have experienced the transformative power of the arts through KDO’s high-quality dance programs. KDO provides equity and access to the community – programs are FREE to participating children and their families.
