'While They Slept' Release Show

While They Slept is Indy’s first underground Hip-Hop portrait book featuring 25 artists all shot in black and white, on the same film stock and camera. Featuring over 150 portraits, this collection is a celebration of the thriving, woefully slept on hip-hop scene here in Indianapolis. While they slept, these artists were creating, raising the bar for music in and outside of the city.

To celebrate this collection and the artists themselves, there will be a release show at Sound Space on Friday, October 14th from 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. where a limited run of 100 copies of the book will be for sale and a very limited run of shirts released in partnership with local staple, Nap Or Nothin.

And of course, we got a lot of raps for you at this show. A Cypher kicks off the show featuring Tully C, Ali Buckets, James Otha, Distinct and Wxlf. We’ve also got one the strongest lineups of artists you’ll see this year with perfromances by Foxd’Legnd, Double A and Switchblades, the duo of Baby Ebony and Mula Kkhan, with DJ KNAGS on the boards.
