Performances of poems by Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Shel Silverstein, Ogden Nash, Paul Lawrence Dunbar and James Weldon Johnson. Songs by Bill Withers, India Arie and Doo Wop rifts will be performed to compliment the poetry with an African dance as the finale.
