Writing Flash Fiction

Have you ever been moved by a very short story and wondered how the author made you feel that way in such a small space? Would you enjoy writing fiction on the shorter side of things? If so, join this class for an opportunity to learn about and practice writing flash fiction—stories between 250 and 1,000 words. We’ll read several examples (they’re short, so we can read them in class!) and think about how the authors compress the elements of fiction into a small form that leaves a big impression on readers. You’ll have the chance to draft your own flash fiction, too.
