Empowering theatre classes for K-12th graders. Onstage or online starting this September!

Young Actors Theatre is Indy’s only youth-centered original works theatre. We work with K-12th graders to create new plays that are creative, collaborative, and fun. Our vision is to empower youth for life.

We are a theatre of education, so we learn by doing! Perfect for beginners or actors looking for a challenge. Every rehearsal is also a masterclass in theatre technique, teamwork, and self-expression. And every session ends with a performance that lets every actor shine. Our theme this fall

Fall session runs September-January, with culminating performances scheduled for January 2021.

K-3rd grade classes are $200 per student, 4th-12th grade classes are $400. Non-refundable registration fee applied at checkout.

This event listing marks the first week of classes– YAT is offering approximately a dozen classes for K-12th graders this fall. Each class rehearses 1-2x per week for 1-3 hours each. Please see our website at for full rehearsal schedules and details on all programming.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

All K-3rd grade programming this fall will be virtual. 4th-12th grade programming offers a variety of face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid options. In-person classes capped at 15 students. Masks and social distancing required for all rehearsals. In-person groups will rehearse outdoors when weather permits. Full COVID-19 plans are available on our website at
