    Redefining how a gallery can operate, local artist and 3Mass Gallery Founder/Director Forrester Svendsen has brought together the Indianapolis community in a collaborative effort to support local art and artists in the new luxury condo building 3Mass. Forrester joined forces with the home owners associaton of 3 Mass, IDADA, the Arts Council of Indianapolis, local businesses and foundations to create not only a new sophisticated exhibition space, but also to afford local artists significant financial benefits and offset artists’ material costs, through funded grants. The 3Mass Gallery also incorporates a philanthropic side by giving back to the local community through donating ten percent of each art show’s earnings to the exhibiting artists’ charity of choice.

We are female and minority owned. We seek to be a space for community and empowerment for all people and have a small stage/classroom space which we utilize for events, meetings, classes and showings. She studied art in her time at both Duke and Purdue Universities.     Long-Sharp Gallery, the newest extension of ModernMasters Fine Art, has made its permanent home in the Conrad Indianapolis luxury hotel. The gallery features works from Picasso to Pop, with a primary focus on works by some of the best known names in modern and contemporary art, including: Picasso, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Indiana, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Motherwell, Helen Frankenthaler, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, John (Crash) Matos, Russell Young, and William John Kennedy. This is another step in the business relationship between ModernMasters’ owner Rhonda Long-Sharp and Conrad Indianapolis. For the past year, Long-Sharp, a former longtime Indianapolis-based death row attorney, has directed an innovative and award winning art program at the Indianapolis luxury hotel. As part of A Fine Art Experience at the Conrad Long-Sharp curates exhibits throughout the hotel’s public spaces. These exhibits include an important Picasso exhibit (on display through October 14 2012) which has been reported in numerous media outlets including the Washington Post, Atlanta Journal, and CBS News. “This next step is one taken with great confidence in the relationship between our great brands. We remain very proud of the Fine Art Experience at Conrad and all that it does to drive regional, national and international awareness to Conrad and our wonderful community. When the bar is elevated as high as we keep it, we must continually challenge ourselves to provide a differentiating, vibrant and contemporary experience.” Greg Tinsley, General Manager of Conrad Indianapolis.

    Maria Behringer has been active in the Arts community of Indianapolis since 2017.
