Indianapolis Art Center
The Indianapolis Art Center was founded in 1934 as a Works Progress Administration program during the Great Depression to serve artists. Today, the Art Center inhabits a beautiful Michael Graves-designed building which sits on a 9.5 acre stretch along the banks of the White River in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis. Each year, the Art Center offers hundreds of art classes, over 50 art exhibitions in six art galleries, an Outreach program that takes art to underserved communities, and the Broad Ripple Art Fair.
The mission of the Indianapolis Art Center is to inspire creative expression in people of all ages.
Mapleton Fall Creek Development Corporation
In 1985, people who cared about the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood came together and established the
Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation (MFCDC); a non-profit organization
that would serve as the community’s tool in rebuilding and revitalizing the area.
As MFCDC continues to grow, we are encouraged by new trends and renewed interest in our area, and we move forward with a greater confidence that the neighborhood’s potential can be achieved. We look forward to working together with our neighbors, partners, and community stakeholders to achieve a more environmentally sustainable, structurally sound, economically prosperous, and socially equitable community.
Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood is bordered on the east and south by Fall Creek Parkway Drive, by Meridian Street on the west, and by 38th Street on the north.
No B.S. (No Body Slayings "of Any Color") & No...
No B.S. & No BOBS was founded by Derek Tuder to reduce the violence and homicide rate in Indianapolis and also help those families affected by crime. Derek Tuder’s artwork sales become proceeds for the NO B.S. & No BOBS nonviolence and crime reduction programs, so please support these programs by purchasing Derek Tuder’s artwork at his events and on Instagram at Derek Tuder.
