Nationalities Council of Indiana
The Nationalities Council of Indiana is an umbrella organization of over 50 nationality or language groups, each dedicated to the preservation of their own unique cultural heritage. The Council hosts the annual International Festival to share the ethnic music, dance and visual arts of these groups with the general community. The mission of the Nationalities Council of Indiana is to encourage communication and cultural exchange across ethnic and racial lines.
New World Youth Orchestras
The New World Youth Orchestras’ mission is to develop and nurture the musical talent of young people in Indianapolis and central Indiana through quality music education and the rehearsal and performance of orchestral masterworks, both traditional and contemporary.
NWYO was founded in 1982 by Susan Kitterman to provide a unique, high-quality musical experience for young musicians in central Indiana. Under the direction of Ms. Kitterman, the New World Youth Orchestras grew in size, increased its performance and educational opportunities, and became an institution of artistic excellence in the state of Indiana. In its first year, NWYO was comprised of a single orchestra with an enrollment of 18. The organization has grown to be comprised of three, separate orchestras with an enrollment of approximately 220, serving young musicians from the ages of 8 to 18.

Paramount School of Excellence
Paramount School of Excellence, located on the Near East Side of Indianapolis, serves 650 grade K-8 students in an innovative environment that instills high expectations for success. Paramount’s mission is to inspire learning through an unparalleled academic approach and to transform communities by changing lives. Ninety of the students’ families have household incomes that are below the poverty level. Integral to Paramount’s approach to education is three experiential learning discovery centers that include an Eco Room, Time and Space Center with planetarium and the Paramount Farm with chickens, dairy goats, apiary and gardens.
Plumb Art Studio
Plumb Art Studio is a new teaching space located in the Meridian Kessler area at Northwood Christian Church. This location houses multiple art and yoga studios along with three schools, four different denominational fellowships, karate classes, a trolley club and feminist vocal choir! Plumb Art Studio students and patrons benefit from free and ample parking space in an accessible and residential area of Indianapolis.
I offer classes for all ages and skill levels in drawing, painting and mixed-media, along with literature based Summer Art Camps for kids. Art retreats grounded in liturgical seasons, spiritual reading or other practices are also available for small and large groups. Onsite kitchen and dining space is available for all day sessions.

Re-Generation Indy is a group of local artists that lead affordable art workshops and host Youth Art Shows.
Although their primary focus is youth, they strive to spread creativity to all generations, so they do not neglect kids at heart. Their team is made up of over 30 established local artists who show work around the city on a regular basis. This helps them to be able to give good perspective to young artists when they display their work at Re-Generation shows. They aim to keep their art workshops at a low cost and their shows free so that families can participate consistently and become part of the art community.
Re-Generation Indy workshops and shows are a unique, fun and positive way to teach about entrepreneurship, confidence and expressing yourself.
They are currently partnering with Art With A Heart and the Athenaeum for a space to work out of, but they do travel to host workshops as well.
Rhythm! Discovery Center
Rhythm! Discovery Center is the world’s foremost drum and percussion museum; founded by the Percussive Arts Society in 2009. South Bend Museum of Art
The South Bend Museum of Art features a full spectrum of historical and contemporary art featured in five galleries. A wide range of artistic traditions are taught in our world-class art studios. Located inside the Century Center in downtown South Bend, Indiana, the SBMA is an architectural delight. Designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the museum occupies three levels in the northern wing of the building.
The South Bend Museum of Art affirms the enduring power of the visual arts to reflect and create community, engage minds, and nurture growth through exhibitions, collections and educational programs.
Since its founding in 1947, the SBMA has provided insight into the art, history and culture of the region and nation.
Since 1987, SBMA has been recognized as achieving the highest level of professional standards in the field, awarded accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums. Accreditation status must be renewed every 10 years and, in March of 2011, SBMA was awarded ongoing accreditation. Accreditation inspires museums to achieve a higher standard. It strengthens the field as a whole, as well as the museums that receive accreditation. The rigorous process leads to sustained organizational improvement and a clearer sense of purpose. Of the estimated 17,500 museums in the U.S., only 750 are accredited.

Studio OTB is a community arts program that provides an atmosphere for all individuals to express, develop artistic skills, & discover new personal interests. We support collaborations between artists with and without developmental disabilities, and have an emphasis on art education & eco-friendly creativity.
Sugar Creek Art Center
Sugar Creek Art Center (SCAC) is open from 11:00-5:00 Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (March-Dec.). Please join us for Culture @ the Creek opening art receptions every first Thursday of the month from 6:00- 8:30 pm. Our exhibition season runs from March through December. SCAC is closed during the months of January and February.
We embrace diversity of artistic expression, the creative process and community engagement. Currently SCAC represents both guest and resident studio artists who work in acrylic, oil, watercolor, rosemaling folk art, wood turning, digital photography, mixed media, jewelry, porcelain / stoneware ceramics, fiber, leather, marbled paper, linocut relief block and intaglio printing. Our facility houses working art studios and the Front Gallery, Textile Gallery, Artist of the Month Gallery, Upper Gallery and the SCAC Gift Shop featuring the work of many accomplished and recognized fine artists and craft artisans.
Also, join us for the Annual Western Boone H.S Show (WEBO) in May, the Annual Fall Art Market during the Festival of Turning Leaves in September and the Annual Holiday Art Market between Thanksgiving and Christmas where guests may brouse booths in our large event area. We encourage guest artists to exhibit with us. Please contact us if interested.
Our facility houses a caterer, “Nameless Catering”, working from our commercial kitchen. We have hosted family and school reunions, business conferences, celebration of life events, fashion style shows, community meetings and town chili suppers. The Indianapolis Opera
The Indianapolis Opera is the only professional opera company serving the state of Indiana. Over a 40-year history the company has inspired nearly one million audience members with more than 130 productions of the standard and contemporary repertory. The company has built a solid reputation as a regional opera company dedicated to presenting American opera with over 14 different operas featuring composers such as Argento, Bernstein, Floyd, Gershwin, Hoiby, Leigh, Menotti, Moore, Stravinsky, Ward, and Weill. Young professional artists appearing with the Indianapolis Opera have gone on to international careers in the world’s major opera houses including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the San Francisco Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, Opera Bastille, La Scala, and many more. The Indianapolis Opera provides a needed outlet for local artists in supporting and chorus roles as well as artisans practicing the art of stagecraft.

The University of Indianapolis Arts holds over 200 music, theatre and visual art events each year in it's superb performance spaces housed in The Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center and the newly remodeled Esch Hall. The majority of these events are free and open to the public or very reasonably priced / discounted to constantly encourage newcomers to experience the arts. The Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center touts the superb Ruth Lilly Performance Hall for student, faculty and nationally recognized music events, while also housing an Art Gallery that holds exhibitions of local, regional and nationally accredited artists. In Esch Hall, The UIndy Theatre Department performs major mainstage productions in the 780 seat procenium Ransburg Auditorium and smaller, more intimate works in the three-quarter thrust black box studio theatre.
