The mission of Awareness of Mental Health through the Performing Arts (AMHPA) is to create awareness of mental health issues by providing education and insights through the performing arts, including music, dance, theatre, and film. The Indianapolis affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a collaborator in this project.
AMHPA was founded in 2006 and has had two previous projects. The first project, entitled "The Power of Story: A Transforming Look at Mental Health,"
