Sacred Threads is an exhibition of fiber art exploring themes of joy, inspiration, spirituality, healing, grief, and peace/brotherhood. This exhibition provides a venue for artists who see their work as a connection to the sacred and/or as an expression of their spiritual journey.
The objective is to create a dignified exhibition of artwork that touches on both spiritual and personal levels to the viewer. The show displays pieces from artists whose stories may be a source of healing and strength.
Sacred Threads Exhibits (in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022) have been well received. The show strives to convey the spirituality, healing and inspirational messages that transcend all people.
For the exhibit, the artworks are divided into categories based on theme. These are Expressions of Joy, Spirituality, Inspiration, Grief, Healing and Peace/Brotherhood. The themes provide thought-provoking insights, encouragement, inspiration and healing responses to grief and human hardships. The exhibit is a positive influence on the human spirit, giving joy as well as addressing concerns of the soul and mind.
Indianapolis is now the home to this inspiring show. The entries to Sacred Thread Exhibitions are juried in by images for purposes of space and suitability of theme only. Works are not judged.
