jus Will (spelled how it looks) was born to Will King II and Valores King in 1972, the son of artistic parents and the youngest of nine children. He is the father of four beautiful children; who are his backbone to his growing success. Instead of being influenced by his surroundings as a preteen, he turned to writing poetry. Will King III began writing while in the eighth grade and as his writings matured he transformed into jus Will, the spoken word artist.
jus Will has been on the spoken word scene for over a decade and has become somewhat of an ambassador for the spoken word art form in Indianapolis. jus Will has fathered 3 spoken word venues in Indianapolis (The Green House AFFECT, $Free.99 w/ jus Will and jus Will presents: B.YOND Music), thus creating a platform for other poets and performing artists in or coming through the city. jus Will has been blessed with the ability to share his works while performing in cities like Louisville, Chicago, Raleigh, Cincinnati, Dayton, Philadelphia, Atlanta, DC, Detroit, as well as his hometown, Indianapolis, and many others where he has entertained packed audiences during his features. He has opened for artists such as funk musician Bootsy Collins, and RnB sensation Michel’Le. He has been on shows with comedians such as Damon Williams from The Tom Joyner Morning Show and Brian “Wildcat” Smith from Shaquille O’Neal presents Allstar Comedy Jam and sever other comics. He has also written his first book “The Missedprint of a Poet” and has recorded an album and 2 EP’s titled “Poetry…now that’s gangster”, “Get Rich or Die Writin'”, and “Evening Service”. He is also an event producer, artist advocate, and is part of a team called The Green Gang that specializes in Brand*Image*Artist development. jus Will’s motto is “write it how you live”; the use of such honesty and life experiences gives his audience the ability to relate and be entertained by his subtle punch lines and paced delivery. jus Will can easily be described as poetically transparent, innovative, and one who encourages all to BUILD A POEM and WRITE AN EMPIRE.
