Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Derek’s love for the arts eventually led to a full college tuition, many local news stories and countless opportunities.

His artwork has won many 1st place awards and has been exhibited at: Saks Fifth Avenue, Penrod Art Fair, Newfields, 924 Gallery, Indpls. Art Center, Harrison Art Center, Indpls. Art Center, Fountain Square, Indiana Black Expo, Arts Garden, Monument Circle, The Madame C.J. Walker Building, Clowes Hall at Butler University, Herron School Of Art, Broad Ripple, Chromatic Collective, Cleo’s Bodega, Circle Center Mall, Amp, Circle City Industrial Complex Artist, Murphy Arts Center and more, and have had VIP Clients such as “Nationally” Patron Tequila, WNBA’s Tamika Catching, National Recording Artists Waka Flocka Flame, Lamar Cambell & many more…

He is currently one of Newfields’ Circle City Creators that’s taking Indy by storm & Saks Fifth Avenue’s Curator & Artist of the Future Forward Art & NFT Exhibition. Derek’s work can be found in periodicals & private collections around the world and galleries & online galleries across the United States.He curates large exhibitions & shows online & in person. He created the 1st ever (Trademarked) Mini Van Go Mobile Art Gallery. He has Wearable Artwork, accessories, home decor & more. He then broke into the literary arts by writing poetry, books and songwriting.
