I have resided in the Indy area nearly 20 years and have recently immersed myself into the growing arts scene of the Midwest. Although largely self-taught, I have taken many formal and community art classes. It was through an experimental art class where I discovered that I enjoyed learning new techniques, especially with acrylics and acrylic mediums. These adventures have led me to the exciting sphere of abstract art. Recently, I have also been creating with alcohol inks on yupo.
I am a juried member of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) and recently placed 2nd at the HCAA Recognition Exhibit with my work “Woodland Faeries”. I also serve on the HCAA Board as Co-Chair of Partnerships & Promotions. I have solo exhibited, as well as had individual pieces in galleries throughout central Indiana. My paintings are also part of private collections throughout the U.S. and Canada. With help from my artist husband Jim Oliver, I also teach fun and educational classes for seniors using alcohol inks.
I welcome new opportunities for call-outs, collaborative work, commissioned pieces large and small, memberships, net-working, anything to further my connections with other artists and events. Please feel free to contact me! I welcome all inquiries.
