As a “Purveyor of Magic Beans and Seeds of Truth,” I specialize in putting a pulse to the past through first-person storytelling presentations. Favorite performances include Jack’s Mama, stories from the Appalachian oral tradition; Abigail Gray: Living under the Drinking Gourd, a program about Indiana’s Underground Railroad that engages audience participation (as most of my shows do); and biblical accounts–my latest being The Innkeeper’s Wife.

Grants and commissions include those from Storytelling Arts of Indiana, the Indiana Historical Society, Indiana State Museum, Indiana Arts Commission/National Endowment for the Arts, the Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship, and Jackson County Public Library. With a professional career that spans more than 30 years, I have entertained audiences with my unique brand of storytelling throughout America’s heartland.
