I have always had an appetite for the arts. There have been and are many influences that craft my interests, development and fascination with art. But without a doubt the most influential are  those who instilled me with the love of art by having done so with their craft, through love, acquired knowledge and practicality. I have studied the art of my matriarchs and they have shown me the joy and love of their home crafted artistry. The art of hand sewn dancing costumes (bright, be-speckled and twirling) for the love of music and movement. The thoughtful process of design and construction through a harmony of patterns in quilting that is patience, thrift and artfulness. The curation of artifacts, volumes of geographical cultural history viewed through home adornments and fragrant meals. Above all formal art education I value my home artistry education as the most important foundation of all that I know. And then there is my love of books and the art of their covers, content and construction (so many books, so many genres and so many fonts).

My devouring of the arts has only continued as I married an Executive Chef and produced a child that participates in our family artistic endevours and explorations of cooking, painting  and costume creating. Currently I reside in Indianapolis, IN (Meridian Kessler Neighborhood).
