Natalie Solmer grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and attended Clemson University in South Carolina, where she studied horticulture and poetry. She worked as a landscaper, nursery manager and florist for many years until earning her MFA in poetry at Butler University. She is currently an Assistant Professor of English at Ivy Tech Community College.  In 2017, she launched an online journal of poetry and art, The Indianapolis Review, where she is founder and Editor In Chief. A mother of two sons, living in Speedway, she has published her poetry and art, including visual poetry in journals such as: North American Review, Pleiades, Yes Poetry, Whiskey Island, Colorado Review and EcoTheo Review.
