Cheerie Joy grew up an Indiana girl watching her family of talented artists create masterpieces. Cheerie has always been drawn to spaces and has the ability to visualize beautiful works of art. She attended Herron School of Art and Design and has been leaving her mark all across Indiana ever since. Cheerie worked for four years as and art instructor at Mimosa and a Masterpiece. She also mentors young adults through the Art with a Heart program. She is a member of Next Stop Beech Grove and Reconnecting Our Waterways (ROW) committees.

Cheerie specializes in large-scale murals and custom designs each piece to fit into the configurations of a specific location. Her styles relate to photorealism, surrealism, and impressionism. She draws on the ocean for inspiration; the feeling it give her is what she tries to portray in of her paintings. Cheerie has been blessed to have her art in hundreds of homes, many private and corporate collections, and over 30 public places. Her proudest murals are at St. Francis Hospital in the pediatric area and the Ray Skillman carousel. Cheerie believes that, through, art, one can truly get to know the beauty that lies in each and every one of us. With her art, Cheerie would like to give back to the community, help youth find their path, and beautify Indiana.
