Growing up on my parents’ farm in northern Indiana, life was all about agriculture, forces of nature, conservation, preservation and education.  At the time, I didn’t realize just how lucky I was to have been raised in that setting.  Now that I live in the city of Indianapolis, I miss it very much.  Needless to say, this is what influences and inspires my creations.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana.  My major field of study was studio art and metalsmithing with a minor in art history.  Upon graduation, I apprenticed as a bench jeweler and diamond setter to perfect my skills as a fine jeweler.  In addition to designing and fabricating my own line of jewelry, I have also applied my talents to creating mixed media artwork.
