I consider photography to be, like the eye, the window to an artist’s soul. My photos are the only way someone else can see what my heart sees. I try to capture a moment, tell a story, or express an emotion with the images I create. Yet more importantly, I am always delighted when the observer describes the moment, tells the story or expresses the emotion they see or feel from my photographs based on their own experiences. Then I know I have succeeded, even if it doesn’t resemble my original ideas.
