Influenced by personal experiences, my work is a window into my past, present and future. I have delved into my personal history as a source of inspiration with my most recent work and created works that touch the viewer with powerful messages. It’s this emotional connection that has allowed me to find an awakening in art as well as act as a channel of therapeutic alleviation.

“Abuse” was a piece that was very meaningful to me because of my personal experiences with the subject matter. As the viewer, we are inundated with images of this angelic child and quickly sympathize with the emotional distress of the innocent. It is this bond the viewer creates that I now aspire to attain with every piece that I create.

Of the different mediums of art, it’s inside the digital realm that I find the most fulfillment in the work I produce. The tools available are seemingly infinite and ever available when needed. Many of the master artists throughout history found their harmony in front of an easel or marble stone but I find mine in front of my digital canvas.

I’ve always seen myself as a creator and “imagineer”, and it is with this creativity that I hope to engage with other CalArt artists and continue to build upon the connection to that inner self. It’s through my work that I hope to reconnect the viewer with what are most important, people.
