I  am currently living in Indianapolis, Indiana, but most of my studies of Art were in the beautiful state of Tennessee at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  After college, and having two small girls, I entered the world of finance, where for almost 20 years was a stock broker in the crazy, stress filled environment of the Dow and Nasdaq in one form or another.  Early in 2016, I stepped away from a full time career to finally follow my dream.  I have enriched my life by studying under some of the best in the field, Laura Robb, Pam Newell,  John Pototschnik and Bonnie Paruch.

I was first introduced to Plein Air in New Harmony, IN a couple of years ago where I won a first place award in an amateur division at The First Brush of Spring. These past few years of study and competition have brought me great joy.  I have traveled the world with friends and family in competition and just painting.  Some of these places include, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Indiana and currently in the works, a cruise to over 11 Caribbean towns toting paints the entire time.  Although oil is my main field of study, I have competed, and enjoy painting in pastel events as well.   For the third year in a row, my work has been accepted at the Richmond Art Museum Annual Competion.   In 2017 I was also accepted in the Will Vawter Art Show in Greenfield, Indiana put on by the Hancock County Arts Council.   I am a proud member of the renowned group Oil Painters of America.  This past spring I joined a great group of Artists in my own studio at the historical Stutz building in downtown Indianapolis.

Everyday is a new experience.  I hope someday to leave an everlasting legacy of my art to those who love it and to my children and grandchildren.  I truly appreciate all those who have purchased and encouraged me along the way.
