McKayla Bensheimer is a sculptor and printmaker. She was raised in Franklin, Indiana and currently resides in Indianapolis, where she attends Herron School of Art and Design as a BFA candidate for sculpture. Bensheimer is interested in depicting the human experience through figural sculpture and portraiture in a variety of materials such as clay, steel, bronze, and two-dimensional mediums. Bensheimer has shown her work around the Indianapolis area. Her public works include a collaboration for a walkway mosaic installed in front of the Irvington Public Library.
