I am a lifelong Hendricks County resident, growing up in Amo, graduating from Cascade, and moving to Danville after graduating from IU School of Nursing.  I married a Danville graduate, Terry and raised two wonderful children. 

My nursing career spanned 28 years and covered many of the facilities in Hendricks County.  Unfortunately an illness cut my nursing career short, but as the saying goes…”When one door closes, another will open”

I couldn’t sustain an eight hour day, but I needed something to do.  We live on 11 acres, so I decided to do some gardening of the flower type.  We now live in a certified backyard wildlife habitat, and Monarch butterfly way station.  We have planted over 1,000 trees on the property, rerouting some of the “swamp” into a seasonal stream and wetland pool. 

I have also grown up with a camera from an early age.  My Mom has her camera in her purse most of the time and always has done this.  I used a 35 mm camera while my children were young and we have boxes and boxes of photos.  So I naturally was taking pictures of the progress of the plantings.  But as I was moving a lot slower, I began to see things that I had not taken the time to really pay attention to before.  The little things, the light, texture, the shimmer, the true shapes… well ART!  I was starting to frame and compose my photos and they started looking like ART.  And yes, I like working with Photoshop Elements.   So here I am today…
