I grew up in Brazil and have lived my whole adult life in the United States, 15 years in Indianapolis. I have a Masters of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).

My art practice is multidisciplinary. I have utilized an array of different media such as installation art, video, sculpture, painting, large format printing among others.

I have created a number of public art projects from painted murals, vinyl banner material made for the outdoors, to video installations.

I have exhibited my work in museums and galleries nationally and internationally. Some of these institutions include the VanAbbe Museum in the Netherlands, the Smart Museum in Chicago, Institute of Contemporary Arts in Singapore, Indiana State Museum (part of the museum’s collection), the Ludwig Foundation in Havana, Cuba, Centro Cultural de España in Mexico City, the Florence Biennale in Florence Italy, among others.

Several publications have written about my work including Art News, Art in America, The New York Times, Forbes, The Indianapolis Star, NPR, to mention a few.

I am the current scholar in residence at the Arts and Humanities Institute at IUPUI.
