Art has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl sitting in the woods outside my Indiana home drawing the trees around me. It was a wonderful setting to explore and create in and fueled a lifelong love of trees and the arresting ways they move and contort in search of the sun. As a result of this, trees and flowers have been the main subject matter of my work over the years. Using color, composition, scale, and often multi-media elements, I share my unique view of trees and flowers with others. Each image is crafted to speak to the viewer and leave them feeling lighter for it. There is nothing mightier than a tree standing against the force of the wind or the fleeting joy of a flowers petals as they bloom for but a moment. It is my hope that the viewer sees the resilience and joy displayed in my art as a metaphor for their own life and that their soul is lighter for it.
