Cathy Williams, a native of Indianapolis, is an abstract-expressionist painter and mixed-media artist.
First drawings appeared at the age of four and her interest in art was resolute through her adult life. She enjoyed a successful career working for a large pharmaceutical corporation the majority of her adulthood.
Upon retiring, Williams completed courses at the Indianapolis Art Center where her fondness of mixed media and the figurative arts were established; and, she’s never looked back. Currently, she is mentored by James Victore, Georgetown, Texas and Nicholas Wilton, Sausalito, CA.
Her work has been displayed in a myriad of group shows throughout the State of Indiana, Chicago and, in international online galleries. Cathy has exhibited in several solo shows and has won awards in competitive settings.
Cathy lives and dreams with her husband, Michael, and their two adored English Bulldogs: Zadey Zee and Zola Maxine in Indianapolis. Cathy likes to run, hike, laugh, dream about Picasso and always enjoys an outstanding glass of red wine.
