James Whitcomb Riley School #43 is an IPS elementary school near Butler University in the Mid-North Indianapolis Community. This project involving School #43 will allow all students to attend a professional, live children’s theatre production at Clowes Memorial Hall, Butler Arts Center this school year to strengthen the arts community in this area of Indianapolis. Students, teachers, and parent chaperones will be educated in a performance related to the literature, history, math, or science concept learned in their classroom curriculum. Teaching artists will visit before or after the performance to extend and deepen the arts integrated experience.
