Dance Kaleidoscope’s 45-minute Pre-School Program, Every Day We Write a Dance is designed for Pre-K children in 21 IPS schools. During this program, DK dancers take these young children through a warm-up or exercise period, and teach basic dance positions and simple ballet terms. The children work together to create a community dance and perform their dance in front of fellow students. The program’s goal is to support teamwork, create positive self-expression, promote sequential order through storytelling, and examine patterns, exercise, space and rhythm.
